One more platform for making money online - RAP Bank.

There are a lot of platforms for making money online nowadays and one of them is RAP Bank. If you have ever experienced promoting products from Clickbank, you might get familiar with how the system works.

If you’re still wondering what ‘RAP’ means, it is actually stands for Rapid Action Profits as this site is based on Rapid Action Profits system.

I read some reviews mentioned RAP Bank as a competitor for Clickbank as it has quite similar marketplace and system. Whatever, as long as we can make money with it! However when you’re going through the site you will find that RAP Bank is actually a Wordpress-based site. Anyway it is just a matter of system.

What differs between RAP Bank and Clickbank is how the commission system works.

For Clickbank you will get paid based on the number or sales you made in a certain period of time. And you will get your commission based on several terms and conditions.

For RAP Bank you will get instant commission to your PayPal account. However you have to follow how it works where you will get commission on the second sale. For example if the commission is 50% the first sale goes to the vendor, the next to the affiliate and so on. For 75% commission the first goes to the vendor, the next 3 to the affiliate. (quoted from PayBack Internet Marketing)

The next difference is on the refunds. Clickbank reduces your commission from your check while for RAP Bank you have to return the money to RAP Bank through PayPal. So you have to let your commission there until the refund period ended.

I just signed up as an affiliate at RAP Bank and (of course) yet to see the result from this site. However I believe it is a good platform for making money online as they have a good system and quality products. And it’s still in BETA version as the time I write this article so it means RAP Bank will be improved from time to time for the benefits of both vendors and affiliates.

The best thing to know about it is – it gives instant commission. And that’s why you shouldn’t ignore it. I’m not saying no to Clickbank, but this is a good alternative and worth to try!

Here I'll share some of the highly-disturbing distractions that I have to face in blogging.

The first thing to say is – blogging is awesome and interesting!

The second thing is – some distractions could slow down your blogging activity.

I’m currently facing these distractions and as the result I failed to update my blogs on time. My traffic dropped drastically as well as my income except for some blogs which could maintain its performance although they are not being updated. By the way updating is absolutely essential to maintain the blog performance.

Here I’ll share some of the highly-disturbing distractions that I have to face in blogging.

1. Email

Yup, email is important in our life now. And honestly I feel like my daily life is not complete without reading email. The negative side of it is – it becomes a distraction for me to update my blogs. And in addition the emails are coming from time to time and as the result I end up myself reading all those emails and ignoring blogging.

2. Facebook

Facebook becomes a superb fever now and I admit that. With all interesting features and chances to meet old friends (sometimes new friends), I could spend half-day in front of the PC with Facebook! And when it’s time to shut down the PC, I realized that I forgot to update even a single blog. And it’s too late to regret.

3. Gaming

Yes, I’m a gamers but not the hardcore one. I love playing action and RPG games and sports, sometimes. The problem is playing games makes me forget about blogging. The only concern is how to finish the game or meeting some boss characters in the game levels. And again, it’s a regrettable moment when I closed the game and realized that – no blog had been updated on that day.

4. Laziness

This is the common problem. And I believe that the ultimate way to solve it is by forcing myself to be hardworking. Put some efforts and passion and it works! (hopefully)

The Solution

My current solution for these distractions is by closing other tabs and programs other than the one for blogging – admin panel, resources, etc. And I found it works effectively.

It seems I missed a lot of things. Time to get back on track!

Please, don't read this article! Seriously.

I was walking along the corridor near my room in college when I noticed an advertisement on the board with the headline “Please, don’t read this!“. It made me became curious and I stopped to read what it was. And then I realized – it was a business advertisement, offering product for students. And I got interested in the few last lines – “If you don’t want to get this special offer, don’t message/call this number: 01x-xxxxxxx!”

I smiled and asked myself how I had been pulled to the ad although there are so many advertisements which offer various products and services all over the college. And I believe it must because of the headline which says “Please, don’t read this!”

It made me remember to a post by a blogger a few years ago said that “Rohaizad adalah scammer!” (Malay language – means that “Rohaizad is a scammer!”

* Mr. Rohaizad is a problogger in Malaysia and he always shares tips on blogging and making money online with his blog, Rohaizad.com (in Malay language).

I believe a lot of people in Malaysia know Mr. Rohaizad as a successful blogger and it pulled me to read the post. And yes, it’s just the headline which pulled me to the post. The blogger mentioned that he just doing an experiment and got a huge increase in traffic to the post.

I guess it’s a human nature to see something which other people say “Don’t” and it make use feel curious to see it. And a page with an extreme warning title such as “Please don’t read this or you will die!” might get a huge traffic as well. I see some marketeers are doing it to sell their products however I don’t know whether it works for them.

Telling people not to read something will (sometimes extremely) builds curiosity especially on the Internet where people can access to any particular page with a click. However in my opinion this tactics has a negative effect too where some visitors will regard this as a disgusting trick and could ruin the blog or site reputation. Another group of visitors might love this as an interesting strategy.

Do you have any idea or opinion about this strategy? Or do you have any experience or results from doing this? Let us know what you got.

You might realize there is a change here – and yes it is.

BloggerDaily is now using Thesis theme by Chris Pearson and honestly I feel glad with it. At first I was in doubt whether I should get a copy of this awesome theme or not but after a lot of reading and positive opinions from fellow bloggers, I decided to get a developer license for myself.

Developer license for Thesis theme currently costs $164 where you can use it for unlimited number of your blogs plus have the authority to remove the footer attribution.

$164 might sound costly, but after I installed the theme I feel it’s worth to invest for this theme. Easy-to-understand, flexibility and functionality are more than enough for me to keep smiling while exploring this theme. And to be honest, I learned a lot while exploring this theme. In other word Thesis is a way to learn – no more sickening codes or frustrating errors from complicated CSS and PHP files.

I love playing with scripts and tweaking the codes – and Thesis is the best playground for me. Although I prefer clean, simple and not too fancy layout, I feel amazed to see how Thesis turned into superb and beautiful blogs by various bloggers & designers. One of them is Blogussion – which I love to address as a genius design.

Thesis also provides SEO functions and some bloggers giving positive feedback on it but I have to see the results first. I’ll update on that.

In addition I’ll include tutorials for Thesis or any updates on it in future posts. I might write the same tutorials with others but I believe more articles sharing the same things will make it more easier to be found. The more the merrier!

We have to keep improving in doing things and getting Thesis is a momentum for me to learn more. One thing for sure – there’s no reason for me to change theme anymore.

Feeling inspired? Get your copy of Thesis theme now and start exploring!

I have a simple question today - is your blogging goal relevant?

I believe most bloggers got at least a reason why they do blogging.

And I do believe most of you got your own blogging goal. If not, I extremely suggest you find one for yourself.

Different bloggers got different blogging goals and it’s depend on their perception and desire or something that motivates us to blog. Talking about desire, you might want 1001 great things happen in your life. But the reality denies that – we can’t have everything we want.

I have a simple question today – is your blogging goal relevant?

You might see some common blogging goals such as:

Sharing ideas/Express feelings

Political reason

Meet more friends

Showing love for someone

Passionate on something

Making money online

Selling things

And etc.

It’s very rare to know any blogger who don’t have or even forgot setting the blogging goal. When I started my personal blog back in 2008, my blogging goal is to express my feelings and meet more friends online. After I explore more on making money online through blogging, I created more blogs with the goal of building a powerful niche blogs network – and blogging goal is – making money.

Some fellow bloggers asked me on what reason I created blogs with different niches. I said – it depends on your goals and strategies. I got cash from writing paid articles and sponsored posts so why not I’m creating more blogs on various niches so I can multiple my earnings? It’s different if you love designing themes or just have interest in one niche and then selling your own products through that particular niche – in that case you better stick to 1-2 blogs only.

Look, you plan, strategies and actions are depend on the most essential element – you blogging goal.

So – is your blogging goal relevant? Try to ask yourself some questions:

Do I capable of achieving the goal?

Is the goal profitable for me?

Do I have the passion for the goal?

If your answer is NO for a particular blogging goal, look for another goal and try to ask yourself these questions again. It’s time to review your blogging goal whether it is relevant for you or not.

Keep in mind that your blogging goal determines your strategies, efforts and success.
