Promoting Relevant Products to Your Readers

Honestly it seems weird for a blog promoting products (mostly affiliate) which are not related to the blog’s main topic or niche. For example an automotive blog promotes birth pills or a health blog promotes making money online guides. Weird, isn’t it?

And then you keep asking yourself – why my affiliate promotion is not converting? How you do it – answers the question by itself.

Take a look at the product that you are promoting and try to ask yourself – do this product relevant to my readers? Or at least relevant to my blog niche?

The most logical idea that should come into your mind is your readers are visiting your blog to read the information which can benefit them in some ways and then looking for products, services of offers which can benefit them thus the products that you are promoting should be related or associated with your article and blog.

Some of key criteria of the products that you should promote to your readers are:

  • High quality – so your readers will thank you for it
  • Relevant price
  • Relevant to your blog
  • Meet the desires and requirements of your readers

Now – take out any promotions which are irrelevant from your blog even you are expecting high conversion from it before you have to pay the long-term price!
