Yes, blogging is realistic. But are you realistic of what you are blogging about?
Is it real? Is it logic?
During my early blogging days I always thought that I could create a lot of traffic by blogging about something that is superb and extravaganza. Something like “out of the box”. I did a few experiments and the results told me that – most people don’t care about something unless it can give benefits for them!
Yes, we need to think out of the box but it still has the limit. Yelling about something out of normality might sound genius but not all people think the same way. There is some interesting websites with weird facts, but they are still facts and real. My point is – you can think different way but put it in logical range.
Internet grows rapidly nowadays and people do surfing to find Information over the Internet. Some of them are how to make money online, how to setup a blog, how to treat acne problems and many more. You can share about these facts because they are real and gives benefits to other people. It is not wrong to share the same thing with your readers but do remember to avoid plagiarism and share relevant content under your niche and scope.
Judge Your Content
Read your content before you publish it. Judge whether it is realistic or not – at least for yourself. Yes, it is your blog and you have the right to publish it but keep in mind your content is the main asset for your blog. Incredible and innovative ideas are bonus but illogical matters might turn out to be negative results for your blog.
Be genius and creative. Think out of the box but be realistic. That’s what your readers are searching for.

What you have stated in your post is right on the money. In today’s world, people are looking for information and solutions to various problems. They want the most up to date and relevant content.
Nowadays, people are in a hurry. If they don’t like what they read in the first couple of sentences, you will most likely never see them again. If you have an interesting topic with a good headline, you have a much better chance of drawing a reader in. As you said, be creative but be realistic…that’s a winning combination. 🙂
Yes, Robert. People nowadays are looking for fast and reliable information or if not, they will just leave the place and find more reliable site.
Creative + realistic. It’s truly a winning combination! 😀
I agree, being realistic about your subject matter is very very important. Viewers these days are very intelligent and they can catch instantly if you’re lying or making false claims or exaggerating about a point. This might work for once or twice may be but if you’re considering it to increase your readership permanently, I am afraid you’re wrong. Be as true as possible while jotting down your experiences. People will respect you for who you are and will revisit.
Yeah, be who you are. And honest. Doing tricks in blogging or spreading the information is not working anymore.
The concept is easy – be honest! 🙂
I do believe that there is a limit to being honest, though. I mean, one man’s reality doesn’t necessarily apply to everyone. He might be sincerely honest about his experiences and thoughts but the subject may be too niche and personal to be of any use to others, just like what you mentioned above.
Yeah, be who you are. And honest. Doing tricks in blogging or spreading the information is not working anymore.
i agree, you have to watch carefully on what your posting to and about.
